lcquilting
Hi all! Just wondering if there are any websites out there that may offer the Turning Twenty pattern free to download? Or any other patterns that are good for newbies. I've done the Log Cabin and now want to venture and try other new patterns. Neher-in-law5
the turning twenty pattern is just three pieces. You can do the same idea by making your own sized design. Choose what size large block you want to end up with, cut out a paper of that size, Then cut the bottom strip off to be one pattern piece and cut the rest of the block into two pieces (a square and a rectangle, the square is the same measurement as the bottom strip already cut) then put them together with any fabric choices you like as scrappy as you like. Just thought of another one. High-Lights. Only 5 pieces (three sizes), makes a 19 inch block and goes together quickly. This is one of three that we made at church in a short time. There is a pillow panel in the upper center that the pattern doesn't call for. The pattern is a free on the internet. I'll see if I can find it. RoseCity Quilter
Turning Twenty is a copywrighted pattern. If it is free on the net it should be reported to the designer Tricia Cribbs. Creative designers and their ability to be reinbersed for their efforts are a very important part of our industy.
witha'K'quilting
The pattern that Madelyn posted is for High Light...the quilt that she showed a picture of. I do not believe that any copyrights were infringed upon here.
Neher-in-law5
Thanks for the concern for the copyrights of pattern designers. The link I posted was for a free pattern called High Lights.
