JakesMom
I'm a very newbie as just got the Little Grace II frame and Janome 1600P set up and plugged in last night! Never quilted my own tops before! Anyone care to enlighten me on any hints, tips, secrets on either the Janome 1600P machine or basic short arm quilting in general? I'd take all I can get at this point!!!!
Judi
Just take it easy - relax have fun - send Jake over to play with friends - start off simple and stick with it. As they say PPP .... does that mean Practice, Practice, Practice or better yet - PLAY, Practice and Patience! It's up to you! Have fun and enjoy - if you get stuck, search here on the forum, many things have already been covered, or if you find a new problem, Just ask - somebody here will probably be able to help. Good Luck!
lizziesgirl
Just remember with the Janome 1600P and Grace that you quilt from the cog wheels right. If you go back and forth alot on the frame it will shred your thread. Also remember what design you choose you need to make sure that you will have room for it at the end of the quilt. It is a good set up for doing your own quilts. I just sold mine to get an APQS so I can do customer quilts. Yahoo has a group just for the Grace frames and they are extremely helpful with tips and ideas. Good luck
