donnavans
Does the glow in the dark thread need to be exposed to light before it will work? Can the quilt be folded up and the glow still work? Any special tips on quilting with this thread.
Bonnie
No..if the quilt is folded up and the sunlight or the lights from the room can't hit it there will be a tiny glow, but the threads need to solar charge before they can be seen brightly. If they are charged with alot of light they will glow for several hours...but I have seen them dim with washings and age....Some of the threads I have on a shirt that are over 12 years old, will only now glow for an hour and its very dim. barbm
Donna, I used this thread on a quilt, but as a hemstitch around appliques rather than a quilting thread. It glows nicely but does need to be exposed to light before it will glow. Room light is enough exposure, though.
