Mercedes Posted April 13, 2010 Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Hi, I have successfully installed my new leaders and zippers on Mille - yippee! I have two sets of zippers, the one on the machine in the attached picture ( if the pictures shows up) has a 6 inch wide leader below the zippers where I can sew the quilt onto the leaders and I also have a second set of zippers that I can use when I just want to pin the quilt to the zippers instead of sewing it. Best of both worlds. A lesson learned for newbies is don't take your old leaders off your machine until you have pinned the zippers where they belong. This will make it much easier to know how to sew them on your new leaders. Now if I could only see that new Bliss system.....Mercedes Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Betty Posted April 13, 2010 Report Share Posted April 13, 2010 Nice job! I love my zippers so much that when I changed my leaders I bought new sets of zippers to go along with it. I've had zippers for 7 years. I love to zip mine together and throw them in the wash when they get dirty. For me, zippers are the way to go.
