PattyJo
Phyllis, thanks for the heads up - I did make it out of Roseburg without meeting either of them! Which I think is a good thing! But there will always be next year!
PattyJo
Shana - yes it is really a moving experience to see all of these quilts with a lot of memorabilia from WWII, Korea, Vietnam as well as Irac and Afghanistan. I was sharing some of the comments here with the 2 ladies that were working with the vendors, and I couldn't hold back the tears - I was just overwhelmed by the heart that all the people in this guild have toward our armed forces who lay their lives on the line daily. And by the way their guild membership is less than 100 people. Some one told me the number and I think it was 80 something, but for 80 people to make all of these quilts, that is an amazing accomplishment. I'm glad that it has meant as much to some of you as it did for me.
