QuiltsbyNini
Now that the decision as to where to put my studio has been solved, I want to make sure the 14 footer is a better decision afterall. (yes, I have been told I am very anal). In your opinions, what are the advantages/disadvantages over both sizes? Thanks!
Mary Beth
I have a 14' table and I'm glad that I do. There has only been one time that I needed almost the whole thing....but what do you do when you don't have a table that is long enough? I say if you have the room - do it!! Grammie
I have the 14 and I'm glad I do. I have had 4 king size this year so this made it possible. If you use a Hartley this will allow you to keep it set up most of the time when working on smaller sizes. If you have the space I would go with 14. Many have the 12 and love it. It's a personal thing. The one item I regret BIG TIME is not getting the Hydroylic Table Lift. I plan to as soon as I get moved into new space. I really wish I had it. Bonnie
Nini, I echo Tammie...its a personal thing. But my 2 cents worth is if you have the room get the 14". If you don't and you end up doing a ton of king size stuff you will kick yourself for not getting it. I have a 12 and I can't say how many times I wished for just a bit more room.....On many quilts I have done I could do the top, bottom and middle, but there wasn't any room to do the edges as the machine couldn't move it was to the edge. I personally hate to flip quilts so this is a big issue with me.
