Starla Posted October 3, 2010 Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 Help...Customer wants a design in body and a dessign in border...I thought maybe a spiral in the body to give it movement...I do not know about the border.....I would appreciate any suggestions. ffq-lar Posted October 3, 2010 Report Share Posted October 3, 2010 Hi Starla, That is a very pretty quilt! Since the small squares that run across the top diagonally are extended into the border I would run diagonal lines through those squares to the outside edge. Stitch diagonals from the center of the big stars to the outside edge as well. This will give you triangles in the border. Place a design matching your interior quilting in each triangle. Much easier than marking the entire border first. Another option is a full crosshatch of the border. If you do a curvy design in the center, the crosshatch will make a nice frame for it.
