They now have thread from different companies. Gutterman, Maxilock and a couple of others. the maxilock 3,000 yard spools are on sale for $1.99 to $1.89 depending on quantity. Shipping is free on purchases over $100. I have purchased from this company for bags and have been very satisfied.
