Janice Posted January 1, 2011 Report Share Posted January 1, 2011 I am making this quilt for 4 grandsons, ages 10 - 13. The quilts are all similar but have a couple of different sports teams included that are popular in their areas. I used a microfiber fuzzy blanket for backing and flannel sheet inside.. It worked out well. It was a little stretchy so when I took it off the machine it shrunk in a little. I used navy thread on top and beige on back. The back tacking shows up but I wanted it tacked down good. They will get a lot of use. Sandra Darlington Posted January 2, 2011 Report Share Posted January 2, 2011 It looks really cute. The fleecy backing will be so soft and cuddly; the kids will love it. I made quilts last year for my 2 grandchildren for thier twin size beds and I used a fleece blanket on the back, plus QD Puff batting and they are so warm, light weight and cuddly. They love them.
