Ritathequilter
HI I was sure I'd find some disussion on this by doing a search, but I couldn't find anything..so here's my question. I'm a longarm quilter (with a Milli) in northern Canada and want to know what other Canadians are charging for longarm quilting. I'm interested in knowing custom and panto prices. I have set rates but I think I'm not charging enuff right now. Panto: lap $80., queen $125.00, king $150.00. Custom: low density .03 psi, med density .04 psi, heavy .05 psi. I charge extra for thread, usually 5.00 or 10.00 for a large quilt. Trim and squareing the quilt is included in this price. And recently more customers have been bringing the binding out and want me to sew than on, I charge an extra $20. for this service. Most times I have to press the backing or square it up, and trim threads from the back of the quilt top. Right now I don't charge for this service but think I should be. I'm just wondering what are the normal services you provide for what you're charging. Thanks Rita NWT, Canada
