Neher-in-law5
This is the center of a wedding quilt for my niece (wedding to be March 12). The pattern is Interwoven Puzzle from Quilter's Cache, but instead of the 12 inch block she has, I made them 24 inches, so the regular measurement through most pieces is 3.5 or 4 inches. Now, I need suggestions. What would you do for the first border on this quilt? I keep thinking of using something from the four colors. The next/final border would be one of the background pieces, the green or the purple? Of course the colors aren't true, the 4 colors are jewel tone batiks, the smaller squares are the purple background batik. I think you are smart enough to figure what one is the green! Any ideas on what to quilt in these designs? I don't want to do an e2e or all over. I have thought of cc in the triangles. Should I do the same in the squares? All ideas welcomed. Thanks. Quilting Heidi
I think cc's would be good and I would do a stipplish design to push the background back so that that design really pops. Straight lines in the background would be good too.
chermitch4
I think a thin yellow border and then either a green or black outer border would look good!!!
Neher-in-law5
Thanks for both suggestions. I had always pictured the gold as the small border, but when it got done I wasn't sure how it fit. Any other ideas are still welcome. I won't be back to it for a day or two.
