Starrynight Quilter
My brother in law phoned this morning and advised that the pipeline in Beardmore blew up last night at about 11pm last night which is about 150 miles away from where I live. My youngest daughter, husband and two daughters live there. I had not heard the news yet so I promptly phoned her. Thank the good Lord up above everyone is o.k. Some of the residents on the south side of town were asked to evacuate. This did not affect my daughter and family. She said it felt like the end of the world. She could feel the heat and hear the hiss of the fire and felt the house shake when it first happened. All is well, no one got hurt/injured and it is under control. I have calmed down somewhat but boy was I shaking when she was telling me what happened. Saw some pictures of it...oh my...what a sight!!!! I'm so glad no one got hurt. Starrynight Quilter
Thanks for your concern ladies...I'm so thankful this did not happen during the summer. This community is surrounded by bush. It would have been gone in a flash. All is well, both my daughter and I have calmed down and back to our usual routines.
