quilterscafe
Has anybody every purchased fabric from Heide Stoll-Weber? I know she has a design studio in Frankfurt Germany, but the website URL I had for her doesn't seem to work. This is a little bio on her from Free Spirit: "In 1994 Heide started her dye studio in Frankfurt, Germany. She is Europe's best known hand dyer and is particularly famous for her beautiful cotton sateens that come in any color combination you can imagine." Here is a link to a wholecloth quilt that was made using some of her fabric: http://www.sandielush.co.uk/gallery/more.asp?ID=33 Thanks for your help in advance if anyone has any information. ClaudiaPfeil
Heide Stoll-Weber is dying wonderful satin cotton in a huge variety of colours and combinations. I like to sew and to quilt her fabrics! Every piece of fabric is different! I just bought a piece of 3 yards to make a wholecloth myself.... but didn?t start yet;) Her website doesn?t function right now:o - so I?ll ask her on Thursday - we?ll are on the same german quiltshow! There are several quiltshops in Germany selling Heide Stoll-Weber fabrics (Google!). Good luck and let me know if I could help...... Best wishes from over the ocean.... birgitquilts
Kathy, I, too, love Heide Stoll-Weber handdyes! They are one of a kind, have a wonderful hand and quilt up like a dream. Some of my customers use her fabrics a lot in their quilts. Her website doesn't work but her email is hswsw@t-online.de. I'm sure you can email her in English with any questions. Take care, Birgit
quilterscafe
Thanks so much Claudia and Birgit! I'm so glad to hear these fabrics are as beautiful in real life as they look in photos. I was so excited to see some quilts made with her fabrics. I will send her an email and wait for the website to be back up again. Thanks again! Kathy
