Betty
Just finished this baby quilt that had texture magic blocks. SID around the sashing and blocks but not sure if to quilt on the scrunchy blocks. The blocks are 6" Should I quilt?
delld
Gee I don't really know. How about just simple X on the block. That would hold the batting and make it look like the block was pieced. Just a thought. I love the texture and what you have quilted so far!
witha'K'quilting
An x was my first thought too...or a circle to go with the spiros.
ffq-lar
Whether this is a customer's or yours "someone" perhaps can go in between the scruchies and tack down in about 5 places with bar tacks. If you run over with the longarm, all the lumps and bumps will be flattened and pleated in place, which cancels what the texture magic is trying to do. Try one and see if you like the look. Another option is to make tiny bows from ribbon, tack over the knot part to keep them from untieing, and then tacking those randomly in the valleys of the texture. That would be cute and the baby can't untie the bows-- to avoid a choking hazard.
TAQuilts
Although I've never used texture magic, my friend uses and quilts over it alot using her DMS machine. She has made and quilted many stunning quilts and wall hangings using it. Terry
