MtnBarb
I'm about to order "groovy" boards" for a 14 ft table. Should I order for the total 14 ft or for the 12 ft? I'm wondering about how they will fit/the amount of quilting room I need. I seldom have a quilt larger than 110 x 110. Thanks.
ffq-lar
Just order enough boards to cover your max quilt width. You can leap-frog the first board if you ever need a bit more width.
mrsbishwit
I agree with Linda, I only order the # of boards for the largest size quilt I will accept/do on my machine.

Sandra Darlington
Also, from my bit of experience, stand on the panto side of your frame and move your LA all the way to the right. Next drop your stylus down. If you don"t have the stylus yet, use your laser light and point it down. That is where you would begin quilting, so you would not need to have a board under your machine, just where your stylus would reach at that point. So, in other words, you would not start a board for about a foot or so from the right side of your table top. I hope that makes sense...I know what I mean. yankiequilter
One thing that you may want to consider is where the pattern will start on the right side and stop on the left side. I shift my Circle Lord giant templates left/right to get the pattern to start/stop at appropriate places on the design that is on the boards. MtnBarb
Thanks Sandra and Carmen. This is what I was thinking. Board sections are expensive enough without buying extra!
