JustSewSimple
1. She is dragging right in the center of the table. It is not the cord, the wheels, no threads, the frame is level from front to back and side to side. 2. When quilting one straight line across from left to right the right hand side is 1.5" closer to the quilt-top-rail than the left hand side. I have squared the leaders. What could be causing this? Remember my table is old and square legged.
quiltmonkey
Are you sure your table is "square" and I mean... are all of the legs parallel and at right angles to the table. You could be a little kaddywompus (like a parallelagram. kaddywompus Is that a word? You know what I mean!
RunningThreads
Sylvia You probably already know this. On the square legged table the arms that support the quilt top and backing rollers move in and out. Measure the distance between the take up roller and the backing roller at each end of the table and adjust the arms as needed. Recheck after you tighten the lock bolts as the arms may move as you tighten the bolts. As far as the dragging the usual checks would be are the rails equal distant the whole length of the table? Does the table bow up? Does it sag under the weight of the head as it passes the middle of the table? Look at the air gap between the edge of the wheel and the table and see if it is the same down the length of table. Nigel U1 with IQ
