Hitomi
I am doing a panto now on a customer quilt. I put the IQ on manual so I can stitch the panto from the rear of machine. I hear the IQ motor running (I am in manual) but I am not using the IQ. Should I be turning the IQ OFF?
Guest Linda S
If you're not using the IQ, I'd turn it off. It's also better if you remove the IQ from the head of your machine if you're not using it.
Farmland Quilter
I always turn IQ off and remove it when not using it. Why let the fan and hard drive run if you are not using them. I believe the ability to run LA when IQ is on is more for basting the sides as you quilt. Or small areas where you want to feehand then go back to IQ. May I ask why you are doing a panto from the back when you have IQ? It does great pantos.
