aktbone
As posted earlier I have a t-shirt quilt to LA. 1) Should I wash and dry the backing? What about the batting? 2) One of the t-shirts has a hole in it. Any suggestion on how to handle that. (attached pic) Thanks
Bonnie
I never wash battings....most won't stand up to it even if they say they can. Just cuz the t's have been washed what was the sashing and borders. Washed or not. I personally never wash anything prequilting. I want my quilts to antique. So rarely wash. The one with a hole in it....depending on how you plan to quilt I would put a piece of fabric behind the hole and zig zag quilt to catch the edges. Leaving the fabric to show through. fineseams
What about Bo Nash Bonding Agent? I haven't used it, but seen it demo'd at quilt shows. You will need to find another area of red to snip out a piece to patch in, I believe, for a hole that size.
