LauraJ
Any help would be wonderful. I didn't put the whole picture up. It's a beautiful hand carved eagle that we inherited and hubby would like to know the name of the maker - if that's what we're looking at. Thank you!!! Brenni
The two Chinese folks in my office both said the same thing. The top character is One. The second character is Knife. The bottom character is 'Made'. One will ask a Japanese friend she knows. Two theories we came up with - One Knife is the name of the person (like a name such as Shoemaker). The second theory we came up with was Chinese Printmaking was done with 'one knife' and it is telling you the process used. Mary
