Anna Marie, until you get comfortable with your Millie - its controls, how it moves and everything else that is currently overwhelming you, don't even worry about Quilt Glide! It's the little round knob just below the rabbit/tortoise indicators on the front panel - make sure it is turned all the way counter-clockwise, until it clicks off. Once you feel more confident with your machine, come back here and we'll walk you through the tutorial. Welcome to our family!!!;)

(And there are no silly questions, except the ones you don't ask!)

Anna Marie, the way I use Quilt Glide is for small tight meander ( stippling). It is like a cross between stitch regulation and the smoothness of non regulated stitching. Turn on by using the knob in the front center of the machine to the right, turn on the stitch regulator and got to town with those tiny stitches. The farther to the right you go with the knob the faster the needle will continue to move up and down when you pause. Just put some practice fabric on the machine and try it. It really makes a huge difference doing that type of work. It is not for normal quilting, just the small tight stitching. Have fun and enjoy the feature!
