Packing Grease

Is it normal to have to re-pack a millie after about a year? I did this, I'm guessing about a year ago, and the same noise is back. I have the grease and plan on doing it, but if this is not normal, I may have other issues.

Hi Joanne

If you have a air pocket, you will continue to have the noise. Tis best to call and speak to one of the service techs for suggestions.

My machine was making a funny noise and I just didn't have time to do the re-packing, so when I read that it could be a air bubble I thought of smacking it good a few times on the side that has the packing grease and tada the noise went away. Now will it stay away I don't know but its been good for a few months now, guess I popped the bubble. Probably not the right way to handle it but I didn't have time. By the way a lot of praying before you whack doesn't hurt a thing.

I did call and was told to just open it up again and use a ruler or stick to push out the air and add more grease if needed. Maybe I'll try the burping first so I don't have to yank the whole thing off.
