DottyRN
I am so excited! Lucey arrived today. the delivery guy brought the boxes into my house for me and then asked if I would make a quilt for him... He wants to have a denim queen size quilt with flannel backing. I have never worked with denim. How will Lucey do with these fabrics?

DawnCavanaugh
Dotty, Lucey will do just fine. Use a 4.0 needle, and if you're constructing the denim top, put the pieces together with a smaller stitch length on your machine and press the seams open. Then to make the quilting even easier, choose a freehand design you can complete from the front that allows you to avoid any bulky intersections, heavy pocket seams, etc. You'll be great! RitaR
Dotty, I couldn't be more excited for you than I am now. Remember to practice, practice, practice and then practice, practice and practice some more. When you try on a dry erase or paper (can even use old phone books) the motion will be ingrained into your brain as though it was always there. Most of all, enjoy, have a ball, get excited, and love it! Can't describe the fun and enjoyment you wil get from the pretty Lucey. God Bless,
