gypsyquilter
has anyone used the panto called from the heart from Patricia Ritter? Thinking about buying it to use on a few QOV's I am doing, not sure if it would look good as a hand guided panto. any other suggestions for patriotic themed panto's? thanks! delld
I don't have that panto but I have several star panto. Look at her star pantos. She has several. the one From the heart I personally would do left to right since you are doing words! My brain doesn't like going backwards. I also like twirling stars and alligence. If only I could spell! LOL good luck. Also you could just do your on freehand writing of the words and do stars. :)
Beachside Quilter
I have that panto and have used it LOTS on veteran quilts. Sometimes I quilt a couple of rows with my Circle Lord Zig Zag/Wave boards and then put the panto in between. I have received many, many compliments from the groups these quilts are donated to. Love this panto!!
JustSewSimple
Made my own panto with stars using cookie cutters and used a cardboard box in the shape of a star then did loopies and such between them. Came out nicely and I saved $20. You can do the same. One hint: I find it easier to quilt words backwards. Yelp it is less like writing and more like an artsy thing when you go at it backwards. Thanks, I do that a lot! I use blue thread for the wave, then use Glide Military Gold for the words and stars. It is a great combination!:P
