Quilt Happy
Hi, CL and QZ users, I think i have read every post and looked umpteen times at the web sites. I am interested in the better one to do custom blocks. I know the CL has the boards but I find pantos not a problem. I want to do custom blocks. Which is better? Any opinions??? My birthday is this week and I have been eyeing these for a year! Thanks!!
Zora
I think they are both good products. CL has a greater variety of block type templates, but they are supposed to also work on the QZ. I haven't tried that, so I don't know. I heard, but don't know if its true, that in order to use CL templates on the QZ you have to drill a couple holes in them. If you aren't handy, that's something to consider. Both have loyal users. For me, it came down to price, so I chose QZ because my main interest was making circles. I have a small client base that wants unusual one-of-a-kind quilting.
Quilting Heidi
I have QZ and love it. You can use other boards and yes you just need a simple little hole drilled into the board or you can use clamps to attach it to the QZ base. I like RnS boards.
