nana di
I hardly ever post as most of my questions are already answered. I have searched for how to do the basket weave but can not find the answer. Does any one have the details on how to do this? Diane
ffq-lar
If you don't own a basketweave stencil, do a search for several sources. Search the manufacturer's web site as well for a tutorial for best marking tools and a stitching pathway. I think Sherry Rogers-Harrison had a pathway tutorial which involved dense filling of the "holes" and a back-tracking route to quilt continuously. If you can't find a pathway online, practice on a drawn pattern. Filling in the "holes" is the key to traveling across the pattern.
LisaC
Cindy Needham teaches the dense basketweave in her classes. I think you can buy her Heirloom Backgrounds handbook on her website: www.cindyneedham.com. The handbook has a ton of beautiful backgrounds in continuous lines.
