Dianna Kihs
I need help. My bobbin thread seems to be laying on the back. I have adjusted the top thread tension and practiced sewing and it seemed OK. But when I put on a quilt and started ditching around the letters it started to lay flat in some spots. Do I need to tighten top thread more? I'm using glide thread top and bobbin. See picture attached. Dianna I have a Millie
zeke
Try looking at your thread path. Check your check spring & make sure your tension disc's are clean. There's always the chance that you may need a new bobbin case. Zeke.
JeannieB
I have found i have a tendency to keep my quilt sandwich too tight which does weird and unusual things to tension and stitches. I have to be mindful to loosen the sandwich up each time i load/roll the quilt. Dont forget the Jamie Wallen bobbin tension test - keep it really loose and then keep adjusting the top tension. Im really new to longarming, so im sure more experienced longarmers will help!
