Austin Bell
My George is snuggled up next to a wall. I quilted several long table runners for a friend and learned to cover up the oil wick on the back of the machine with a bandaid, or to pull the table away from the wall when quilting something that might bunch up behind the head. I found oil spots on the project after completion.
Calamity Jain
Thank you Austin, for taking a moment to share that. My King George is not against a wall at the moment, but may be again one day and this wouldn't have occurred to me until it happened to me. So nice to learn from others before it happens to you in person! ~ Jain Barrett
Neher-in-law5
I need to watch mine when I "reload" George's table from the things on the bed when I still have the quilt in place to finish the next day or step away for a bit. Always a good thing to watch for. Thanks for the tip.
Busy Quilting
I have put a small clear pin container over the four oil wicks on the top of my Millenium. I was conerned that all the dust and thread dander would dirty them. I hold it on with blue tac.
