sewhappy
I am sure most of you know by now that I do not take in other's quilts, but will on occasion allow my arm to be twisted by close friends. My arm was twisted yesterday and she brought over her quilt. I think it is calling out for tropical ferns around the out side border.. Any suggestions?? I thought I would go to the libray and check out books on the Rain Forrest. (Remember when we just called it the Jungle?)
ramona-quilter
I have used a Kathie James panto named Fern Meander a couple of times. It has great movement. And i think that Hermione Agee has a panto named Fern Gully which also is very tropical. As far as putting it just on the border, I have seen a couple of border stencils(click the link) Maybe just looking at the pictures will give you some inspiration. Bonnie
Patty, http://www.quiltingstencils.com/index.asp?PageAction=PRODSEARCH&txtSearch=fern&Page=1 This is from the same link that Linda sent you, but goes directly to the two fern borders that they have, just in case you couldn't find them right away....they sort of were buried.
