qltnbe
My stitch tension looks perfect going in one direction, but when I reverse my direction they just aren't right....not bad, but not perfect. The bobbin tension looks a little tighter and that is using the bobbins with the magnetic center (prewounds). What do I need to do? Change tension or change the position/direction of the needle hole?....or something else?
Sheri Butler
Or, try checking/cleaning your encoder wheels. At least that happened to me once. Going one direction is usually the encoder stitch regulator.
jimerickson
It depends on how different they are. Multidirectional sewing like we do with our longarms creates directional variations in stitch quality and tension. It has to do with the direction the thread is pulled when the machine is moved. Usually the variation isn't too great. You can see it, but it's not too obvious. On the other hand, you may have excess clearance between your needle and hook and need to adjust that. Rotating the needle slightly will reduce the clearance, as will increasing the size of the needle you use. It might also just be tension adjustment. Try that first. Good luck.
