mscott2611
I tried to post this last night but I failed. If you could help me decide what to put in the stars I would be glad to hear from you. I am going to put feathers around the embroidery blocks. I have (3) 2 1/2 inch borders that I hope to put different treatments in and a 1 1/2 inch border that I might just do SID around. The star blocks and rectangles are a little puzzling to me and would love to hear from those of you with more experience. Mary
jmcclannan
I think I would work 1/4 inch inside the stars doing straight lines from point to point giving the stars a little more interest. Neat quilt!
RitaR
So Glad you came back Mary. I about went nutso trying to figure out how to post a pict. and finally did it. Now it's been so long, I've forgotten again. I think I would be tempted to use a small stipple in the stars, but only about a half inch wide, leaving the rest of the star as is. By stitching the straight line first it is much easier (at least for me) to keep the stipples inside that border. Or stitch straight lines like Julie suggested, and/or stipple inside those lines. I like the quilt,, and think someone will really like it! Rita
Primitive1
I think if I was quilting it I would do some straight lines in the rectangles and maybe the stars too to offset the curvy feathers...I like contrast in quilting.
