QuiltyMama
I THINK I'm in the market for an Ultimate II in a few weeks, based on price, but have never used one. Anyone have that model that might be willing to let me test drive it? I'd just like to see if it's a good fit for me. I live near Springfield. Thanks in advance. :-)
yankiequilter
Brad and Margie Wakefield are APQS dealers near Rogersville. I bought my first Millie from them and at that time, several years ago, they had an ULT, but I do not know which model nor do I know if they still have it. Their contact information is listed under Dealers, on the APQS web site. Good luck with your search for a machine, you cannot go wrong with an APQS! QuiltyMama
Wow, thanks to both of you! I've just messaged "buslady" and I found the Wakefield's under the Dealer listings. Yay! I love how helpful folks are on this forum. :-)
Sheri Butler
Quiltymama, if the ULT II you get comes with the original "spoon" foot, my hubby manufactured a 1/2" foot for the ULT II's, so you can use ALL of the rulers on the market today with your machine! chickenscratch
That 1/4" foot is well worth the money. I loved mine
buslady003
Did you see the A-1 193 listed on Craigslist Springfield? It is stitch regulated, has all the bells and whistles, and some extras. $6100. That is less than you can buy an Ult II, and put stitch regulation on. If I could afford it, I would sure go try it out. A-1 is also top of the line, and made in Springfield. Thought you might want to try it out too. Just an idea for you. Several on this forum own an A-1, and seem to love them too.
