catsigler
Hi, Linda S, I raised my Millie carriage and leveler bar to accommodate Circle Lord (which I haven't used yet). But I had trouble today with my quilt dragging across the Hartley base expander, couldn't stitch a straight line with a ruler to save my life! Wondering if I need to raise the quilt top and quilt back bars as well. Did you? I had not used the Hartley base expander before raising the carriage, so don't know if this is how it is supposed to feel. Which base expander do you use now? I ordered one today that has a beveled edge and is round or oval I think.
circlelord
Hi, You have to raise both the Leveler bar and the Quilt top bar. Raise them the same amount as you raised the carriage. The fabric should lay level across the needle plate. Cheers, Michael PS: Circle Lord Videos are now available online by going to Circle Lord News These are the same as on the Free CD, including Soccerdoggies. BethDurand
I was just playing with my circle lord, and having such a good time. Enjoy your new toy! Beth
Guest Linda S
Yes Cathey - you will need to raise your rollers. It's not very hard to do, but here's a tip -- make sure you count the number of turns you unscrew each bracket so they are all the same height when you finish. I have the Extendabase from Donita Reeve (hard to get, but I love it), but I did have to raise my quilt top roller and the leveler bar. Myrna Ficken
Hi Cathey, as Michael and Linda said you will need to raise your rollers . Don't forget to raise the leveler bar as well. Myrna
catsigler
Oh, good, Linda. That's the one I ordered. Thanks Myrna. I already raised the leveler bar but still need to raise the quilt top bar--just as soon as my extra set of hands returns from Japan.
