Janice
I am quilting wholecloth with large sections of it to be cross hatched. What do I do when I stop in the middle of the cross hatching area to roll the quilt. Do I need to tie thread off or can I make a few small stitches and not knot? The quilt is for me but I want it to look nice. Thanks
Zora
Do whatever you are comfortable with. For an extra special heirloom quilt, you can knot and bury the starts and stops. But unless the quilt will be scrutinized up clise..as in show judging, tiny stitches work fine. To some extent, it also depends on your thread choice. Thick threads will show more, thin threads will be far less obvious.
