loraquilts Posted September 14, 2016 Report Share Posted September 14, 2016 My stepdaughter has a friend who lost his best friend in Flight 93 on 9/11. So she asked me if I could make a quilt that commemorated the flight and have it ready for her to give her friend on 9/11 this year. She wanted all of the passenger names on the quilt somehow (embroidery obviously) and if I could put a picture of the plane on the quilt, that would be great too. Mind you she NEVER offers to pays for materials or my time, but that's not the funny part. The funny part is that she didn't even ask me to do this until 9/8 this year!!! Yeah, that's not going to happen. She has no idea what goes into making a quilt. After I told her no, now I look back on it and laugh at the absurdity of her request. You better stop leaving out those "quilt in a day" books, since she has gotten the wrong impression of your art form. Thank you for sharing.
