Berny
Help This is problem #2. There is this awful rattle sound when my needle is moving. Before sometimes I might hear a light clicking sound but now this is loud. There is definitely something wrong. What is it? and what should I do? Any suggestions? Thanks, Berny PS Of course, it Sunday night.
Melody
Berny, The last time I had a rattle going when the needle was running... It was the actual plate covering the Bobbin.... Try tightening the four screws and see if that actually helps! Hope it does!
smorris
Hi Berni If you are using metal bobbins, have a look at the edges of them to see if there are any nicks. It sounds like your needle could be hitting the bobbin. Put in a new needle just in case its bent and if that doesn't work, it is most likely timing. Perhaps you jammed or broke a needle recently. Berny
Hi!! After posting my frustration, I asked my husband to see if he could hear where the rattle was coming from. I checked my manual and it seemed like my needle was going down lower than in the picture. Then I remembered that I had just changed my needle because I was having lots of thread breakage. After taking my needle out and putting it back in again, everything worked perfectly.( Next time, I'll know to check how low my needle is going in my bobbin area. ) Thank-you for your input. I don't know what I would do without this forum. Berny
