Brooke
Trying to take apart tension assembly to replace check spring. The shaft is stuck inside the tension control base. The screw is loosened as much as it can be but no one can get the shaft to remove from the base. Any tips??
jimerickson
Try using a steel punch or drift and tap the shaft out. Hold the assembly in a vice and gently tap on the shaft to knock it out. Remove the lock screw before you begin just to make sure it's not holding the assembly together. Good luck. Jim dbams
