My first Quilt Path block. Why are my stitch lengths uneven in block? Long and short stitches. Deb

(I apologize, if I have multiple entries of same topic. I am new and if I understand correctly there are two forums for Quilt Path. The one used is the Facebook site. So not sure I posted on correct site. Plus, I haven't used Facebook for many years so unfamiliar with this app.   Please advise.)

Deb:  This is the right site, but most of the QP users hang out on the Face Book site.  As for the long and short stitches, check your encoders to make sure everything there is working properly.  Jim

Uneven stitch length in a quilt block can be caused by a number of factors, including the type of thread being used, the tension on the sewing machine, the type of needle being used, and the movement of the quilter's hands while sewing. To fix this issue, you can try adjusting the tension on your sewing machine, using a different type of needle, or practicing your stitching technique to maintain consistent movement. It's also helpful to check the thread being used and replace it if it's old or frayed.
