No, I don't do it because I found years ago that if I pulled the top thread just right it would pop the bottom thread up, and I could cut a long long tail... of both threads. I bury all my starts and stops so things don't show.....was just something I got use to when I started and now its just second nature for me. But it sounds like ithis is your trick, to share with others....I honestly don't think it will hurt it any. Might wear it out sooner, but I really don't think that's an issue.
