calicokat Posted December 19, 2007 Report Share Posted December 19, 2007 I\'m keeping you in my prayers. In a few weeks it will be 4 years since I lost my dad. I\'ll add a reminder to all to complete your wills. Dad had remarried (can I just say, the probate laws in Virginia are very fair to childred from previous marraiges - much to step mom\'s shock!) it was messy and lots of hurt feelings. An updated will would have helped everyone. One thing I did in the first months after losing dad was to find myself thinking of him on the 16th - the day he died. In the summer I made a decision to think of him specially on the 13th - the day he was born. And furthermore, I think of my mom and sister, DH & kids on the day of their birth each month. Sort of, instead of being sad after their gone, I try to be grateful for another month of them here, maybe silly, but it helped.
