sewlinzi Posted January 3, 2008 Report Share Posted January 3, 2008 I have just been arm-twisted into becoming the area rep for Aberedenshire for the Quilters' Guild of the British Isles... Our area will host a regional day on Sept 13th '08 for the whole of Scotland. My first job is to arrange 2 speakers who will do a talk and workshop. My first speaker is Ferret! (we are very excited about that!). I'd like to find another one from Europe or even USA - any recommendations or volunteers?! We can afford airfare from Europe I think but sadly not from USA (unless you happpen to be here on holiday for some reason! - in which case you would be most welcome). UK internal flights are expensive so it is almost as economical to fly someone in from The Netherlands for example as it is for someone to come up from the South of England. I\'ll bet Claudia Peil would have some suggestions, she\'s in Germany, and so is Birgit. I know there are more, I just can\'t think of them off the top of my head!
