suzanna
Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen, I was watching Simply Quilts yesterday morning before work and there was a lady that quilts from the back of her quilts. She uses interesting backing that has a pattern and follows that for a beautiful result. Has anyone tried that? I thought that I would give at try as I have NO artist ability and have run out of ideas to be creative....must be a creative blockage....I wonder if there is a pill for that.... Stagecl
Sue, In the process of quilting from the back...you can also use a heavier decorative thread in the bobbin to accent the quilting on the top (just make sure you loosen the bobbin tension). I believe, Michael, has quilted several projects from the backside. Cheryl
Chocoholic
Before I got my Milli, I used to do this, especially when I wanted an all over design and it was sometimes easier to just put on a walking foot and follow the design than it was to try to maneuver a quilt for doing free hand on a regular sewing machine.
