DoryJM
Forgive me if someone has asked this before and I just didn\'t search far enough, but... When I advance my fabric with the automatic fabric advance, my needle drops into the fabric while its moving. This has happened leaving the needle over the quilt and also when the machine has been to the side and not over the quilt. Any ideas how I can fix this? Myrna Ficken
Is you stitch regulator on and with the machine still on? Myrna
lizziesgirl
Mine doesn\'t do this when I advance but I have times when I turn my light on or off and the needle will drop. Not just go down but drop with a thump. It doesn\'t happen all the time just every so often. Could we have some weird electrical short?
Myrna Ficken
You should call the tech about this. Myrna
DoryJM
Myna and Cheryl...I was stitching with the SR on, but had stopped and it was no longer on when I advanced. Sheryl...mine "klunks" when it drops also, but it only drops when using the fabric advance. I have a 2007 Millie...not the new, fancy one.

DoryJM
I have to take my husband to Reno today to catch a plane, but when I come back, I\'ll give Mel one last chance to shape up. If he doesn\'t, I\'ll call the tech support like Myrna suggested. I\'ll let you know what they say.

DoryJM
Problem solved...I hope!! I e-mailed APQS and they responded immediately and asked whether my advance motor and the machine, itself, were plugged into the same wall outlet. They were. I changed and now have them plugged into two different outlets and while the outlets in that room are all on the same circuit, it still seemed to fix the problem. Hooray!!
