lindasewsit
Hi! I have a question about stitching in the ditch. I am getting ready to do a quilt that I am going to SID all of the blocks....My question is ...do I SID around every single seam of the blocks THEN go around the outside of the whole block? The blocks are Sisters and something else that I don\'t remember the name of it, but it is similar. Hope you understand my question:o.... I know....clear as mud!! Thanks!! linda
Melanie Rouse
As I recall from my classes, you do the outside of the block first--to stabilize it. Helps keep away fullness and pleating.

Quilting Heidi
I also sid the outside first and then do the center. On some quilts I will do the outside of the blocks for the whole quilt and pin the block centers until I come back to it. That way nothing will shift. Most of the time though I do the outsides and then the inside then roll.
