Charlene
Hi, That plastic tubing that fits on the bobbin winder is worn through and in half. Is this something that I have to buy from APQS and does it have a name or what else could I use. Thanks, Charlene
CherylUribe
Hi Charlene, Take a look through your supplies. When you got your machine you should have got an extra piece. If not, Check you local hardware store. (take the old one with) If no luck, call APQS. They will surely send you a new one. Cheryl
ffq-lar
Charlene--- My DH told me that tubing is gas-line tubing for radio controlled airplanes so you may find it at your local hobby shop. In a pinch, I used a small rubber band wrapped around the spindle and it worked fine. All you really want to do is to keep the bobbin from moving as you wind and to be able to get the bobbin on and off easily. As Cheryl said, take the old tubing with you because they will have many different sizes. Just a thought.Have fun! Linda Rech Beautiful Olympia Wa. Charlene
Thanks, I know that I got an extra one but I sure can't find it. We have a hobby shop in town, I'll check there for something to use. Thanks for the ideas, Charlene
JoAnnHoffman
I wrapped the spindle with a little masking tape. That seemed to work. I think I will try the rubberband method when the tape wears out.
