meg_marsh
I am getting ready to put a quilt on the frame - will be using wool and am thinking of adding a second batting under the wool - thinking of cotton - is this a good combo? Thinking about the different shrinkage rates of the 2 battings. If I use the 2, should I lightly mist both and put in the dryer for a bit?? I love the puff of wool but want to add something that adds a bit of stability to the wool. I have some Hobbs 80/20 but it is a large quilt and would be pretty heavy. I am thinking a thin cotton layer would not add as much weight.
witha'K'quilting
I almost think that Hobbs 80/20 is lighter than the cotton battings! But then when I think cotton, I think Warm and Natural. I have double batted with bamboo and it works really well.
