While dropping off tax stuff today, we got to talking about longarm machines.  My tax lady and her assistant are both quilters.  Assistant mentions that a mutual friend has purchased another brand of machine, and that she has yet another brand.  Assistant ask me about the warranty on APQS machines.  Such fun to watch her jaw drop when I told her that our machines have a lifetime warranty.
    Gotta love APQS!

The entrant list has been posted.  http://www.mqxshow.com/MQX/East/QuiltShow/Finalists-MQXNewEngland/index.cfm?ndrx=99

Look, my name is there.  My quilt is going to MQX!!!  I hope it gets some good reviews, even if it doesn't win a ribbon.

I saw a couple other APQS quilters listed on there. Hopefully they will share pictures of their quilts so we can see what they entered.

I was so excited yesterday, I found out that my 1st time entry took Honorable Mention.  I was not expecting to place at all, so this is really exciting.  Very encouraging because that is why I purchased Miss Millie was to do competition.  Quilting for others helps pay for my addiction, opps  I mean stash.  I will post pictures later.

Hopefully the picture will show up.  Remember I'm a newbie to frame quilting and it's really hard to post pictures when there are folks like you out there who I've come to idolize in quilting but gotta start somewhere.   Other than the center block I had no idea of what I wanted to do ahead of time (not really a good idea BUT..).  It's definetly not perfect but for a first time to do some of this and it's mine and I don't expect perfection it will do for me.  At least I got some good practice.

I still have to square it up and put the binding around it.  Since I'm a cheapskate and didn't want to buy more fabric since the back will be covered I just used some leftover flowered pink/green fabric so the designs don't show.  some of my marks haven't disappeared yet either.

Just sharing with all of you who have offered me SO much support and help over this wonderful quilting journey of mine - I think it's safe now as the order is complete and payment has been made...our good friend on the forums Joyce Coburn has helped me get set up with the machine upgrade I have been dreaming about for SO long!  In around a week or so a "new to me" Certified Used APQS Millennium is headed to me!  I am just over the moon!

It will be a significant upgrade from what I currently am quilting on (an Ultimate 1) and I'm thrilled that things worked out so I could get my stitch regulation AND stay with APQS since they have not only been amazing in regards to customer support...but now that I can pull one apart and put it back together I'd like to stay with what I know!!!!  LOL!

I just had to share with folks that I know will understand what a HUGE impact this will have on my quilting and truly my life!  I'm so excited!

All the fabric has been mailed back now and I'm early...Yay!  Meg, Vickie and Linda Rech should get theirs today.  Everyone else will be getting theirs either Wed. or Thursday except for the one who lives in Lakewood, WA (Pat I think without walking upstairs to look at the address) who will get hers on Sat.  The two Canadian swappers, Terry and Barbara C, I don't know for sure when you'll get yours because it doesn't let me track it.  Terry's went out Friday and Barbara's went today.  Bonnie if you get your address to me I'll send yours out today also.  Sorry I threw away that box.  My husband is quick to dismantle and discard boxes.  Which is probably pretty good because I seem to amass a lot of boxes...lol.

This actually went pretty well.  I didn't realize there would be 400 FQs, but I probably should have.  I'm almost 100% sure I got them all right...lol.  I must have counted them all a dozen times apiece just to make sure.  That was the only real hard part of all this was the worrying that I was getting it done right.  I truly appreciate all the people who sent addressed envelopes and postage.  That was such a help.  The post office even commented on how efficient it all went.  I must live in a small town huh?

Anyway, it was fun and I hope everyone is pleased with their fabrics.  Now start sewing so I can see what happened to all of it.  Thanks again for being a great group of swappers.

Linda, your tracking says it's "out for delivery"...yay!  You have two more FQ's coming also.  Those will probably be Wed or Thurs.  I'm excited for everyone.  I've loved "wallowing" in all that pretty fabric.

    My FQs have arrived safely.
I can't wait to get my hands on them.
I wasn't sure if I'd be south or north when they were mailed, so I picked north.
    Of course, I'm south.
The hubz just facetimed me so I could see....
    They are beautiful!
Thanks, Oma, for all your hard work on this.
I'm hoping to get out all my Asian fabrics and destash!

My FQs are here! They're all gorgeous! I'm like Scrooge McDuck diving into the money vault---only it's a fabric vault!
Many thanks to Oma for hosting the swap, and thanks to the swappers for finding such pretty stuff.
