    Hi Beth,
Yes, a welding shop can cut down the aluminum table rails to whatever size and then they will also need to cut down the fabric rollers.  There is a hub welded into the ends of the steel pipe that can be taken out of one end, cut the pipe to match the table rails and then reweld the hub back into the end of the pipe.  Much cheaper than buying new pieces from APQS.

APQS Does allow any brand of long arm machine to be sold on this Forum.  I am watching to see if this person puts anything else suspicious on our forum.  So for now I am leaving this up.

Thanks @mark !  I just wanted to verify that 4'5" is the absolute minimum space a machine takes up when not used.  I completely understand needing to have room around it to use it, but I'm trying to figure out "storage" footprint when not in use (every inch helps!)

I know that I am one person who is thankful to be an APQS owner, and thankful to know that there are people with expertise and knowledge building these machines, and available to help me out.  That gives me some confidence in jumping in to work on my craft.  I hope that all of you who will be enjoying this appreciation day, know how much you are appreciated by all of us out here in sewing land!!  Thanks for all you do!

I call myself the 'cobbler with no shoes'  because I quilt for everyone else except me!
So my goal was to make a quilt for our new house,   our new bed....

I wanted calm neutral colours reminding me of sand or pebbles.....I made this quilt  using the pattern "Sweet Garden" from Carolina Patchworks.    I was intending to make the entire king size with this pattern -  and I did.  Then I hated it, so I chopped 2/3s of the pattern off and added white for some neutral breathing space.

Simple quilting in between the blocks.
And then I got carried away in the white.     [
