countrystitcher
Today I received an e-mail from one of our local quilt guild members who is stationed in Germany. She's only been there 3-4 weeks and already found the quilts shops and bought a new sewing machine. She also went to the local guild meeting and met Birgit Schuller - I e-mailed her right back and said "Oh my gosh, I know this person, not personally, but she's a long-armer." So Birgit if you read these posts, my friends name is Joan Cooper and she's a nurse at the hospital. Joan is a very good quilter and wouldn't it be cool if you actually quilted one of her quilts while she is stationed there. What a small world we live in. IBQLTN2
it is very cool how this forum makes it possible for us to meet and know as friends those so far away who we may or may not ever see in person. I am sure that this forum creates a network of lives stitched together in our mutual love of quilting. It indeed is very, very cool.
