thread/pebbling question

HI,

I'm quilting a Christmas wall hanging. The customer wants pebbling. The area on top is white fabric, but the backing is red batik. I tried a couple, but the red thread shadows thru as I'm using a silver white on top.

My question is: would you use monofil in the bobbin while pebbling??

Usually I use the same top and bottom regardless of the back fabric, but a Superior MonoPoly would be a good choice...its strong and withstand the tight circles.

I'm with Bonnie 100%...lol Bonnie why is that? Must be a NY thing :P:P. I won't use monopoly for a quilt to be washed and loved for whatever reason but for a wall hanging it is great. I love Signature MonoPoly. It works fantastic.

I have been playing with 2 colors of thread and found that if I use NEB embroidery prewound bobbins that no matter the thread on the top it never shows. It hardly even shows on the back! All it gives is a "dent." Many of you may not like those bobbins but they sure work for me.

What are NEB embroidery bobbins? Would that just be a 60 wt thread like Bottom Line??
