smd719
Hi! I was quilting along, minding my own business, when I heard a "plop". A black cap fell off of something. It came from the bobbin area. Watery looking oil was dripping from the area. I put the cap back on and wiped the area clean. What is it? How do I keep the cap on? It's never done this before. I've attached a pix. Do I need to worry? Thanks.
barbm
No worries necessary, Stephanie - that cap is just a "security" measure. It covers the access to the gear box - the oily stuff is from the gear box and the cap keeps it from leaking out. Make sure the area is all cleaned off (you already did!), then super-glue the cap back on.

quiltmonkey
Mine fell off a while back, too. I just stuck it back on and so far it hasn't come off (yet)
